Potty Training Pointers ANYONE??

Okay, So I'm about to embark on the potty training adventure of a 2 1/2 year old boy. I'm nervous because it's my first time, so I am asking for any help or hints that anyone might have for me. It's cold now and we don't spend a ton of time outside or I could start by letting him practice on bushes, trees, and neighbors lawns, but I'm thinking we should try it the more conservative way.
I'm open to suggestions and anything that you think works I will consider. For any of them that pan out and prove to be useful I will definitely pass on and report back. I'll have to get creative with my picture taking, cuz already I went to put one on of the cutest "cheeks" in town and I got the husband lecture of "once you put it on the net anyone can see it you know". We'll see what happens. Thanks

Cute little dolly.

Just a couple of pics of our little bathing beauty. She's sure growing and getting bigger. She takes after her mom a lot when it comes to putting on the pounds. Lots aroung the face and belly area. I figure some of it is for the same reasons, we both like diet coke and chips and since that's what I like, she must too cuz it's in the special recipe that I brew for her daily :o) I'm sure that's not the recommended thing to do, but who really knows???? McKinley is already running the roost around here. She likes to be held a lot and we try to lay her down to sleep, but within minutes she's awake making "pick me up noises" to any and everyone in the house. I don't think we give these little bundles of joy enough credit for their built-in attention devices at birth. Things just get complicated once we learn to speak...

Mr. Rylan

These are so cute I thought. He's a good little kitchen helper especially when it comes to eating, liking the beaters, rinsing the dishes and spilling on the floor. Seriously, I don't know where and what I'd be doing without kids to keep me busy. They are just so precious. Oops, sorry about the retard-o picture that I didn't rotate.




These are just some cute little shots of my Rylan.
Every since the nice rain storms we had last week, Rylan can't seem to leave this darn umbrella alone. It's all but broken now, but he insisted on having it open all the time. It got a nice toss right after it hit baby sister in the face.

The spotted child "Pudge"

These are a couple of pictures of our middle child. We got him in September and he's pretty cute. We've house trained him and everything. He plays keep-away from Rylan and the two of them fight like brothers (when I let them). We like him and he's a good little pup. When I was pregnant, he was smaller and used to like to sit up on my belly, but now he definitely got the boot when McKinley came home, he still tries to get right up there and lay under her while I'm holding her if he can, it's kinda funny.

Plum Tuckered

This is what happens when Rylan doesn't take a nap. It was only 7 o'clock and he was down for the count and slept all night. He was so cute. He went to his room, grabbed his "kiki" (blanket) and bear and settled into the chair to watch the movie, and he didn't last 5 minutes. I just couldn't resist showing this picture he looks so comfy and cute in his chair and everything.

McKinley Details

She was born November 17th at 1:00 AM. We were in labor about 10 hours and finally she came out after much coaxing and medication...thank goodness for epidurals :o) I keep thinking I'm not going to have one but I get in the middle of it and realize it's going to be better all the way around if we just get "the goods" if you know what I mean. She had a precious little conehead when she was born, but that was gone really fast. She weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. I couldn't hardly believe it when they said how big she was. I thought she'd only be just more than 7 pounds. Believe it or not at her two week checkup she was already 9 1/2 pounds. I think she takes after her mother.... big feet, lots of hair, puts on the pounds and likes diet coke..... I've teased that the reason why she's such a good eater is because the main ingredient of the milk at our house is Diet Coke. I think we're on to something here :o)
Rylan is being good so far and being a good helper. We've had lots of family and friends coming and visiting etc. We are so happy McKinley is here!

Our New Addition McKinley Jean Mann

I am so late with getting some pictures on our page. The little cutie is already 3 weeks old, and this is the first siting for some of you. I'll get better at this and keep it updated. As you can see Rylan loves holding his "baby wister" and Ammon and I think she's just perfect. It's crazy, but I can hardly remember life without her here.
