Kids Rock!

KID ROCK...
So this blog is a little strange, but I'm blah blah blah with my camera. I don't know if any of you pay attention to music these days, but I love the new song by Kid Rock that's out. Don't know the title or the anything about it, but I know that I like the music and the beat and we "rock" out to it everytime we hear it on the Radio. I added his other song that I love love love called "cowboy" and me and the kids were dancing and being crazy to it yesterday and it sparked an idea. Seriously, the guy can hardly sing and he's only a little bit good looking in the right light, but there's something in some of his songs that make me happy. Let's get something straight though, I DO NOT love his hard rock songs (most of them) and I hate when he screams ('bout every song) but there's about 3 songs that I could listen to all day :o). In all honesty when I first put music on our blog I was doing it to be all juicy and sentimental, but now I like the free music that I can listen to anytime I want and that it's all songs that I like. When I get crazy and want to scream, my out is to turn on the tunes and dance with the kids or sing really loud (so the neighbors can hear us) and it makes us laugh and forget that we were even anoid with eachother. I truly feel that music can cure anything that ales you in life. I will secretly laugh at whoever is at work and the speakers are accidently up too loud and this song or the weird one by Weezer comes blaring on. Don't cuss me too bad, just smile and carry on and Have a "Rocking" day!

Life happens, aren't you glad you're not a cow in Switzerland?

I just think this picture is so funny and to be honest with you I just learned how to put a picture on from the web. Yes I know I am a little behind, but at least I finally figured it out right?

So, I apologize for leaving you on such a bad note on the last blog. I realize some of you thought it was soooo funny cuz you were getting to read about and laugh, but I assure you it about did me in. I will say, since the last episode took place we have improved with our #2 toilet use ALOT! Actually, we've been accident free. Yipee!

This week has been filled with work and so on with really nothing to report accept for the fact that we got ourselves a scooter yesterday! We are so excited we can hardly contain ourselves. Ammon and I have both riden it once and have admitted (out loud) that we were so giddy and tickled by the experience that we pretty much had the giggles and a perma-grin all the way to work and back. It's like our best day... Seriously, since the truck hasn't started for 2 weeks we've been sharing the car and riding the bike a lot, so the scooter is more than fun, it's a big relief. Thanks Daren and Meg for giving it up and selling it to us, you have no idea...... I will be sure to include a picture next time of our new toy :o)

Bad Day? What is that exactly???????

Oh how I wish we were on vacation... But even there things don't always go so right, kinda like this picture, everything and everyone is all over the place and in a different world.
And these are The Days of Our Lives...

Well, the day started last night when I was stuck at work after midnight and the truck wouldn't start. Ammon came and rescued me, but we didn't get to bed until 2:30 AM. Then the day really started when the truck wouldn't start AGAIN and Ammon was late for work and had to pedal himself up there..... The kids and I decided to run a couple of errands which took us to the gas station (where I work) for a D.C. Rylan being the funny-little-why-I-outta that he is was holding himself on the way out to the car and I asked if he needed to go potty? Of course the answer was, "No" and so he was getting in and I ran back for the stuff I was picking up. By the time I got back to the car he had stood there in the doorway and piddled on the ground (right close to the front door and the first gas pump) It was a little funny and a little more embarrassing. I tell him to get his bottom in his chair and I'll be right back to buckle him. Very shortly after that I returned with some other things I had to take and I go to buckle him and he's halfway standing and halfway doing something else over about 5 little drops of sick-o-munga CRAP! I wanted to scream!!!! Not only did it stink, freak me out, have him in a dither, and was on his hand, but it was in my car on the rug and we were in public! I couldn't even lash out like I would've at home... Shoot! I didn't even know where to begin, and you know I wasn't saying Shoot! So, needless to say we got ourselves together and got cleaned up and made our way home.

A little later I am setting McKinley down for a bite to eat and I had the radio on. Funny enough it started to play the song "Bad Day" by the Powter guy (you all know it). I was kinda laughing thinking I was having one of those and I went in to scoop some food out of the dish when I totally bumped it off the table and it dropped to the floor causing apple sauce to shoot directly up and it when ALL OVER ME! Not just on the floor or all around, but ON ME! I had it on my shirt, pants, feet, face, and yes even in my hair. That shoot word came out again and I just, well I just got another freaking towel and cleaned up the mess. This is when I found that the dog had a little upchuck accident in the middle of it all (probably scared him to death) and the only reason I knew that is cuz it wet my foot as I walked to the laundryroom to discard the 20th dirty towel of the day. Do you all feel like you were with me at home today? Kinda wacko I know.

Actually, you were probably all at your houses having similar events and handling them better than I was...

No camera to be found, no phone to call someone who cared, just me, myself, and the kids. Sometimes days like this make me wonder who I pissed off to get such treatment, and then I realize it's not even noon and if I don't straighten up I'll have the rest of the day to deal with things that could potentially happen.
Well, I'm happy to report that it's now almost 6 o'clock and the last few hours have been better, if you don't count the tears and bonks on the head we've had from minor crawling injuries :o)
I sure do feel better now having let it all out and I thank you for getting to the end of that
b-and-moan session. I'm hear all day if you need to vent.

I don't know if you've all listened to the song that I have listed called "Then they do" by Trace Atkin or not, but believe it is exactly right and is exactly what has calmed my nerves today.

Best of Luck to you!!!

Update on the "Poopers"

So, I have no proof (picture wise) of the following story, but we have had an eventful couple of days at our house.
To begin with McKinley has been sick for about 4-5 days and I got sick of giving her whatever I thought would help her feel better so I finally took her to the Dr. We found that she was fighting the crud and gomboo and had quite a red and irritated sore throat so we were prescribed an antibiotic in hopes of getting rid of the crap she's had for the last couple of weeks on and off.
Well, that was yesterday and today we woke up to a very fussy, rashy faced baby. She was obviously not okay with something we were giving her. So, that took us back to the Dr. this morning to verify the rash was to an allergy and sure enough the word is that she is allergic to penicillin (which is the base to a lot of medicines that end in "cillin") and so that's the problem I guess. She is NOT the best medicine taker, so we've had some issues with the benedryl and other crap we've needed to give her, but anyway. I hope by tomorrow it will all get out of her system and that the rash will be gone she looks so sad and like she has a disease or something...

As for Rylan, he is being funny and saying crap to make us laugh everyday. Oh yeah, speaking of crap, we are doing the dreaded potty training once and for all and needless to say, we have departed with about three pairs of underwears this week that had, let's say, a special surprise in them. Believe me that is the nicest thing I can think of to say to describe the prizes I've been given this week. I have said a few choice words this week and have needed a few timeouts as well, but there is light at the end of the tunnel cuz we made it to the potty tonight with a load. So there! Now that you know the goods on what we've been up to and now that some of you are grossed out I will say Good Night and we'll post again in a few days.

Happy Third Rylan!!!

Well We Celebrated Rylan's 3rd Birthday today! I can't believe he is already three....time has gone by so fast! You can see our mess and all the fun stuff he was given (HE GOT SPOILED) thanks to his aunt and Grannies. We also gave him this little scooter he's standing on and I think we'll be seeing a lot more of it in the future, he loves it :o)

See this big bin of lincoln logs? I love that they still make these and I believe they will turn into one of the family favs. We all lit up when we saw them and said, "remember when?"

We also had to have a fun little tudley turtle cake. (No, that's not someone you should know, he's just a character in one of our fun bedtime books). We sure had fun making it this morning.
We spent time at the library with storytime, played with cousins at the splash pad up the street at the park and had cupcakes, lots of green frosting, ice cream, and Winger's for dinner. It has been a very fun day and Rylan has been precious (as usual). I will say it is evident that he is three though. His talking and interaction has really improved the last month or so and so has his back-talking and smart-mouthing. He has started to as why? why? why? to everything and make you mad after you've repeated yourself five times. He says some of the funniest things and some of the NOT so funniest things. I swear sometimes i am hearing an echo of everything I've said to him, and just when I figured he didn't hear a thing I was saying, he started to repeat it at high volumes..... The other funny thing he has been doing is if I am disciplining him, he'll get mad and storm into the other room where his dad is and tattle on me or visa versa to the other one of us. He'll come in and say, "Mommy, daddy is talking mean to me" or "daddy, mommy spank me". Of course it is always said in the most innocent voice ever, but it just cracks me up.
We sure Love this little munchkin Rylan of ours. He is the source of many laughs, tears, frustrations, and fun times. We look forward to many more birthdays in the future!!!

Brats from Birth

Now would you look at those fists and her face. You would think I was trying to convince her of something she didn't want to do. Well, that is just exactly what I was doing. This darling daughter of mine has a silly mind of her own for sure. I'm convinced she was born part brat..... only cuz she takes after her aunts though :o)
I try and try to feed this munchkin baby food from the little bottles, and she will hold her mouth closed and move from side to side so I can't get it in. She will gag most of the time if some does get in and once she's had a taste of the things that made her gag last time, there's no second chances with her. There's only a few things like bananas (the real ones), potatoes, squash, and crackers that even get in there besides her dang bottle. That dang rice cereal stuff was never even an option and she knew when we tried to trick her and put some in the mix with other foods. I don't care what anyone says, they come with their personalities and there's no changing their minds.
McKinley is a really good baby and is a ton of fun and I just love the look that was captured and the fists ready for the punch. She's got two bottom teeth part way in and she has decided that the little booty scoot is a pretty handy way the travel. She is very close to crawling and so the bottom will soon get the boot. So long to everything on or near the floor.......

Oh Jeez...

So inicent and yet such trouble they are when those eyes open......

So, this THING was found by accident yesterday. Rylan being the curious little three year old (on the 2nd) that he is decided that if there was a little yellow thing that looked small and a hole on his face that was small too, then there was a chance that it might need something in it besides the regular stuff, and thus is was inserted there for safe keeping. We now understand why Rylan had a bloody nose when we were at Dayna and Brandon's house on Sunday....

Yes, the yellow thing which is an AirSoft Beebee was in Rylan's nose. Ammon happened to take a glance at him last night (24 hours later) and notice a shiny yellow thing that was of course a little different than the regular stuff that's in there and had to strangely pry it out (with a bobby pin) of his little nose. What a little belnap. The removal was... difficult, but successful. Double, Brandon, did you know you were missing one of these?
You can come pick it up now, we've used it for all we can think of :o)
