"Mannimal" moments

I just wanted to share some cute pics of our little fam on the cam. They are just too adorable not to pass along. Enjoy!



McKinley loves this elephant that her favorite California Albrecht cousins gave her. As you can see she's kissing and loving on him. Notice the socks? She has a thing with sucking on her toes too and the socks don't last long at all.

Now this is a Sugar to Shit in 5.2 day. I told Rylan to go in his room to pick out a shirt to wear for the day and by the time I got in there to help him put in on (less than 2 minutes) this is what his room looked like and I swear to you it was clean before he went in there. Hurricane Rylan hit...


This was "too tired to get out of the car and walk into the house Rylan". He made it out of his seat, but just sort of melted onto the the floor of the car and had a good hour-long nap, yes, in that position :o)

Yard Saligans

** Yard Sale **

Okay so on Saturday, my sister-in-law and I had our very first yard sale. She had decided after moving that she and her hubby had too much stuff and she wanted to see if they could sell some of it before donating and so we were invited to join the fun and put some things out if we wanted to. I'm telling you what we made out pretty well, and we think we're on to something. WE LOVED IT! We had a ton of traffic and people that stopped to look at our many treasures (and not so treasured items) that we were sick of and wanting to get rid of and we decided we should do it again and soon! We have a ton of new ideas and new things we want to sell, and believe me, everything in my sight has taken on a whole new look to me. I keep saying (to myself of course) that "oh that's going to the next yard sale" or "we could totally get at least $5 bucks for that thing instead of letting collect dust". So, in a couple of weeks we're planning another big event. If you want to get rid of some things or whatever either bring it over or let me know and I'd love to see if go for you. And, the next time I promise to take the camera so I can get some shots of our new found frenzy fun of "Mothers Making Money" day :o)

To sleep or not to sleep?

So, this is a pretty funny story I think. Rylan is such a silly boy and the other day we were having a quick bit at the table before leaving the house and he was sitting there practically falling asleep between bites. We kept trying to startle (sp?) him and keep him awake and it seemed like two seconds later and I asked Ammon where he went. We were visiting and not paying the best attenting I guess and we both look down and he had strategically placed these two barstools together and proceeded to lay down and go to sleep on them...so we thought. We first said his name out loud and he didn't move or anything. After laughing soooo hard for a minute I took off running for the camera knowing this would be a darling shot. After snapping a couple of pics, much to our surprise, the little twit opened his eyes and started laughing at us cuz he had just fooled his parents and gotten the best of us! We totally fell for his little faking routine...what dorks.

Rylan is such a little tease. He can wrestle with the best of 'em, out run and out play all of us including Pudgie, beat all of us in a staring contest, and lately he's been able to make his sister laugh harder than us all. I wish I could capture more of the precious moments we have and let you all hear his adorable voice. It's kinda sad cuz he's starting to talk and act like he's five or something.

SPRING FEVER BABY!!!

Such a cute smile :o) McKinley is already 4 1/2 months old and so happy and cute. Don't you just wanna squish her cheeks?


How bout this cute little sleepy drool face? She is such a trooper when Rylan and I don't wanna go in the house yet.





We got a new sandbox this week!! We lvoe it. I'm not sure if Rylan or Pudgie (the dog) likes it more, he just digs and digs like he's actually going to get somewhere the silly pooch. It's really nice sand and so it's like having one more fun thing added to our playground...if only there was a way to have the dirt stay outside and not in the house so much.


We spend a lot of our day in the backyard playing and this is Rylan's cousin who gets to come to our house and keep him busy for me. They play together so well and they are really cute together.


We LOVE having picnics outside now! Rylan is so cute at his little table.


We definitely have Spring fever and it's getting to be a lot warmer down South here.

"Not until you want it...."

So today, my blog may be silly to some, but will ring many mommy bells to others.
I just wanted to point out how funny I think it is that kids are so cute and want nothing around them or to be anywhere until you (mom) want it...

For instance, they will not go in the bathroom for any darn reason until you want a minute to yourself to take care of business and all of a sudden you have the kids, the dog and even sometimes the neighbors in with you and practically on your lap trying to help you or making comments and asking every question they do not need the answer to. **Notice they're never anywhere near when you're stranded?????

They couldn't care less where the computer is or what you do at the desk until you want to sit down and use it and then there's a race for your lap and an uncontrolable need to touch every button and move the mouse until you've just plain had it with holding them back so you get up and they do too... Honestly! Why won't they do this when it's dish time? In the action begging to help and touch everything.

They have zero interest in the vacuum, laundryroom, broom etc until you want to use it. At this point they must try to be helpers and sit on it, try to fold it, or want to drive, sweep, or steer and you have to fight over who gets to be the boss, which is usually always determined by one of us storming off to our rooms :o) Oh blessed timeout!

I just think it's so interesting how kids work. I love mine to death and think daily how precious they are and how empty my life would be without them, they are just surely the most peculiar little things on earth (and then they turn out to be US! Heaven help 'em)

I know I'm not the only one who gets a chuckle out of the quirckiness and curiosity of a kid, and I can't wait to find out what sparks the interests of some of your little ones. They can't always be as sweet and perfect as we make them sound...Can they?

Little Cuties

McKinley is sure growing up fast! She's 4 months this week and we're having a lot of fun with her. Rylan is such a cute big brother. He loves to be by "sister" and help mommy with her. The cutest thing is when I asked him to go give her her plug (binki) once and when I got into the room he had climbed up on my bed where she was and was playing and making her laugh while holding the plug in her mouth. He's a pretty good helper when he's not being his adorable two-year-old self.


There's not been a whole lot going on with us recently. We did spend several days in Aurora with Tawnya and Grannie making quilts, working, picking out paint, eating, spraining ankles, getting X-rays, and most of all having lots of fun! Poor Ammon gets left behind most of the time, but we're looking forward to our trip we'll be taking to Seattle in May for Daren's wedding.
Well, we hope this week is the start of good weather and outdoors. We'll take some new pics and keep you all posted.

**Just a little side note to our "Phantom Visitors": I know that recently we have had some new visitors to our site and I love that the word is getting out so everyone can see what we're up to and updated pics and soforth, the only thing missing is a note to say you've stopped by.
